— This is a reupload of a post, I made the original a page rather than a post and the distinction is important —
I haven’t posted anything up here recently, and that’s largely due to how busy I’ve been with the doing of things.
As a very reductive overview:
- I’ve finished a bishop (white) and another pawn (black)
- Toolkeeper v1.1.4 has been released, fixing a number of issues with searching, esp. when search results are paginated.
- We have a new server, and are moving our existing services over to it (starting here)
- I’m going through it at the moment, and while I’m not necessarily struggling, I’m not doing great either.
I have a big essay coming out here soon, and I’ll also be posting each weekend as I continue to work on things. I’m hoping to get better about notetaking and regular posting. Currently I have effectively 3 life-focus arenas competing for my rather limited attention: Software Development, Day-Job, and Human-required behaviors. Having only one of these, historically, isn’t enough to bring fulfillment. Having three, however, is too much and I’m often too burnt-out to productively contribute to any of the three.
ToolKeeper continues to improve each sprint, and as we get closer to a deployment date, the pressure will only increase, albeit slightly. Once it’s released and can start making money, we’ll start planning a sustainable path towards ending the day job.
Thanks for stopping by!
